writing update for my tumblr frands
here’s what i have coming up, both releases and works-in-progresseses. i think some of it will probably change. probably i’m almost positive that every single one of these stories will involve interracial couples.
- Edits for At Her Feet which will be released in September
- then I’ll be writing a hetero novella
- then I’ll be writing a lesbian novella
- AND THEN I’ll be writing a hetero novel (we’re calling this BWAM! for now)
- Two lesbian shorts of my lesbian shorts will be released in September
- Another lesbian short of mine will be released in October.
- then I’ll get around to writing the next book in the Vampire Sorority Series.
- then i’ll probably write Dr. Will’s hetero adventure
- then i might start a trilogy about queer witches
- an then a hetero interracial romance about a black werewolf and the mexican werewolf she falls in love with. they’re both werewolves.
- then i’ll write this lesbian fairy tale with a black/asian couple that ive been stewing on FOREVER
- and i have to write a gay story for the frat boys of OBA before Nathan Burgoine and Jeffery Ricker show up at my house.
if anyone wants to suggest stuff, just throw it out there. THE LIST NEVER STOPS GROWING!

the gif has nothing to do with my writing. i just like it.

writing update
ill be outlining my first novella tonight. it’s a hetero couple this time, but still interracial. im excited. so much sex will be had. and good times. sex and silly good times. :D
i just read a book i hated so i wanted to share a book id read recently and loved.
ive mentioned how hard it is for me to find black/interracial romances that weren’t busting with stereotypes. well god bless Farrah Rochon. i’d been meaning to read her books forever, but my to-read pile is ridiculous. last week i read her book Huddle With Me Tonight. its put out under Kimani Romance which is a branch of Harlequin.
blurb: All Paige Turner wants is to be taken seriously as a journalist. The entertainment columnist and blogger extraordinaire gets more notoriety than she planned when her scathing review of NFL superstar Torrian Smallwood’s memoir sparks an online confrontation. But that’s nothing compared to the sensual heat that tackles her when she meets the heart-stoppingly sexy athlete face-to-face…. Torrian can’t let Paige derail his dream of a new career as a restaurateur. Even if the sassy, sultry writer is making America’s favorite wide receiver yearn to be on the receiving end of her desire. And with a reality TV cook-off propelling them into the spotlight, Torrian can no longer hide his passionate secret goal—to build a future with the woman who’s making an end run around his heart…
my take: SO FREAKING CUTE! i love sweet romances and this book was just so sweet. Torrian was sexy and kind and funny and Paige was just great, period. if you’re in the mood for something light with a great black couple, check this one out. there are 3 more books in the series and i plan on reading them. :)
writely problems
im trying to write this follow up short for Ginger and Camila that will come after Blacker Than Blue. i want to write it. im happy with the premise, but it’s a little sad and no part of my being wants to drum up the emotion to actually write it. uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh

what im reading…

Desperate to escape an arranged marriage, Olivia Sterling flees Chicago and heads west. She dreams of setting up her own seamstress shop in Henry Adams, a small all Black town in Kansas. But her plans are derailed when her train is robbed by Neil July and his notorious band of outlaws.
Neil is enchanted by the headstrong and lovely Olivia. No woman has ever set his blood on fire before, and he suspects no other woman ever will. When they meet again, Olivia is the town’s newly elected mayor and Neil is still the wanted outlaw. With bounty hunters on his trail, he would be wise not to linger, yet he can’t seem to leave her. Will Neil be able to convince Olivia to ride off into the sunset with him? Or will he finally lay down his guns for love?
